Why does Roy Jones get the No 1 spot when he was hardly there? Toney and Lucas are the only names on his list worth mentioning too. According to Farhood he gets the No 1 spot for beating Toney, defending 5 times and winning his belt at 25 then vacating at 28. Seems he basically gets It on talent. The List Is. 1. Roy Jones 2. Joe Calzaghe 3. Nigel Benn 4. Chris Eubank 5. James Toney 6. Steve Collins 7. Sven Ottke 8. Frankie Liles 9. Chong Pal Park 10. Mikkel Kessler

lol What did Chong Pal Park do to warrent such a high placement- also Toney wasn't the only guy on your list who should be questioned about roids- what about jones?
Park was the pioneer of the division; he was Super Middleweight Champion of the World for four years making 13 successful defences. No one has had more success at the division. Toney was found guilty of drugs abuses; Jones dodged a bullet IMO, but because it cannot be technically proven that he was guilty; he is inocent.
Calzaghe and Ottke have. And Park was hardly a 'pioneer', when it was a division that was laughed at for its first few years.
jones calzaghe park benn toney eubank collins liles kessler ottke (i know he has wins but he cheated half of them in germany)
Yes but reasonable people should have nothing but bitter spite in their black little hearts towards Otkke as he brought boxing into dispute and damaged the sport greatly. If their was any justice that **** wouldn't have become champ in the first place. I am aware this is not logical and frankly my damn I don't give a dear! N.B. Knocking the **** out of Mundine was funny. I'll give him that!:happy
You can't really follow much boxing if you hadn't heard of ottke, or only follow the british domestic scene as he was world ranked for upto a decade.
Laughing stock or not, Park was a Pioneer, and stats wise no one compares to Park... Calzaghe has made two defences of the World Championship, Ottke never even won the World Championship. Quality of opposition gives Calzaghe the edge over Park, but that is it IMO.
eubank beat benn the first time and drew the second. he also had the wins (one of them tragic) over watson. by the time he started losing he had already lost interest in the sport. i think the british fighters are ranked in the right order.
