    1.The misconception that boxers in larger weight classes hit harder than boxers from lower weight classes​
    • Gervontae Tank Davis punches harder than Floyd, Khan and anyone at 140 lbs bar Mathysee.
    • Rigondeux punches harder than Lomachenko and most fighters a division or two above him.
    • Inoue and Yamanaka punch harder than guys just above their weight class.
    • Golovkin punches harder than most light heavy weights and cruiserweights and a sparring partner of Povetkin said GGG punches harder.
    • Beterbiev would probably knock out most heavyweights.
    • Gassiev and especially Kudrayshov most likely punch harder than 95% of heavyweights.
    • Adonis Stevenson probably punches harder than David Haye. Don't tell me that the Bellew that fought Haye would take any clean punches from the Stevenson that knocked him out at light heavyweight. Haye caught Bellew clean several times before blowing his Achilles and didn't even knock him down, the weight might have helped Bellew but not enough to prevent a repeat of the superman punch.
    2. Power comes from the legs.
    • Look at Deontay, Hearns, Tank Davis and tell me this is true. My guess is that power comes from the shoulders and then core as Deontay and Hearns have absolutely massive shoulders
    3. Roadwork is great for stamina.
    • Again look at Wilder, he does zero road work. Even Wladimir does more swimming than roadwork and was still on his toes in round 11 at Wembley.

    "Styles make Fights" - Nah, fighters make fights. Obviously there is some truth to this often spouted cliche but if you have a defensive wizard in there you are getting a snoozefest 95% of the time. I am sure boxing purists love these defensive masterclasses but speaking for the more casual of fans, they are beyond boring and only look good in slow motion replays. For proof see any Mayweather Jr or Rigondeaux fight.:sleep:

    You have a point but it takes two to tango. Rigondeux vs Lomachenko would be a war. Besides Rigo vs Agbeko was a snoozefest because Agbeko came to survive but Rigo vs Donaire was exquisite. :starwars-smiley:

    More than 5% of posters on here aren't trolls and more than 2% have any clue what they're blabbering about.

    These are myths that I feel are proven hourly on here. True busting either

    Agreed. This also applies to countless other fighters who get labelled with the "glass chin" put down, especially at heavyweight. It is possible to be knocked down or out and at the same time have a decent chin, not everyone who isn't Hagler, Toney or V. Klitschko is packing glass.

    They don't. They keep the belt. They make a new one for the new champion.

    Put forward your argument on why you think my comment about Stevenson and Haye is wrong or stay quiet, lil bro.

    Yeah I head about this, any idea how much it costs boxing organisations to make a belt. It must be quiet cheap compared to wwe and UFC since our alphabet titles are mostly made of leather, like the Green Ali belt.

    You think that Adonis Stevenson punches harder than David Haye because he knocked Tony Bellew out and
    David Haye didn't but you didn't consider that Tony Bellew was drained at light heavyweight and had worse
    punch resistence against Adonis Stevenson than in his fight with David Haye.

    Adonis Stevenson wouldn't have that kind of punching power at heavyweight, same for Beterbiev, Gassiev and
    Kudryashov, weight classes are there for a reason.

    I really don't need to justify or explain to you why your comment is totally insane. Anyone with half a brain and the tiniest amount of boxing knowledge knows it is just fruit bat crazy.
