Using a select few to disprove anything doesn't prove anything at all. If there was a fighter who could beat most HW's who weight below 190 you would have seen that already. Most heavier guys will hit harder ...do you really think GGG power will remain if he fought the heavy weights? His fights wouldn't go past 3 rnds if that were the case. All fighters k.o p% drops when they fight heavier guys...this is a fact...hence weight classes. Power comes from the core that's what will give the punch motion and to produce maximum leverage the lats MUST be used first and foremost to drive the hook punches or dig in to someones body that will have bigger impact than straight ones bc you are also using more connected muscles together and can lock the punch with better support from the back.straight punches use limited leverage than punches coming from a side angle..along with more shoulder. All this added with technique/speed and accuracy make the power . Stamina is subjective...really just doing swimming wont help out his balance,i would have him doing at least farmer walks with weights, his balance is not very good .
The whole thing about Barerra-Hamed being the ultimate schooling. It was like 8-4 with a pretty low output by both men.
They are all generalizations and correct in far and away the majority of cases. There are exceptions to most rules though. Including those above.
Boxing promoters are evil and bad for boxing. Bob Arum, Frank Warren, Al Haymon, Eddie Hearn et al are good for boxing, even Don King was great for boxing. I am not claiming they are all choirboys but they put on entertaining, competitive cards for the most part and boxing fans should be more appreciative. Obviously some boxers have been ripped off over the years (particularly by King) but I don't concern myself too much with legal issues of athletes and don't really care how much money they get, I just selfishly want to be entertained and the aforementioned promoters have delivered on that front for the most part. I will take a few dodgy judges scorecards here and there rather than the rampant fight fixing of the past when boxing was just another mob racket. (Is Haymon even a promoter?)
this is true that power is come from legs, reason is kinetic chain: http://healthyliving.azcentral.com/much-punching-power-comes-legs-7828.html
