Joshua generating big money, but only in UK, American soil only has Canelo who is protected by the judges and in reality he has 3-5 losses already.
LOL...I understand that you are a GGG backer and that is fine, he is quite an accomplished MW/fighter who I admire (even if his fans annoy me). So even though I disagree about the 2 decisions with G going in Canelos favor...what are the other 3 losses he has....or should have in your estimation?
On a side note of course a return to the ring for Floyd is good for boxing in general. Another chance to see if he falls or complain about his competition, style, attitude and decisions....wider publicity for those on the card looking to make a name...worldwide media coverage....yes, how could his return be anything but good irrespective of personal feelings about him.
Tbh I wouldn't mind Floyd coming back and fighting any of the top welters, he'll lose to any of Thurman, Spence, Crawford and Porter, maybes Garcia as well but Garcia has a style that's better for Floyd but a win for any of them over Floyd would be healthy for boxing. If he's gonna come back and have circus side shows then no thanks. At the end of the day boxing has been far better the last two years since Floyd quit (not just Floyd but the whole old guard of Hopkins, Wlad, Marquez, Cotto and Pacquaio- taking less time). Facts are they killed divisions cause no one would fight each other so they could place themselves for money fights, now they have gone most of the divisions have opened up and we get far better fights.
Boxing needs Floyd as much as Miss World needs a boil on her ass. He single handedly started the rot thays destroying the sport
Well, I only want to see him fight against two guys : Pacquaio (the rematch) and Crawford. Only those two names who I believe still can give a good fight against Mayweather. After his last fight, I don't think even GGG can have a chance against Mayweather. Between those two names, I think Crawford has the bigger chance to create upset. Most of Floyd's past opponent lacked of strategy or simply defeated in tactics. I always wonder if he is facing someone who excels in strategy and has good wits like Crawford.
Floyd's time on the top has come and gone. He needs never to lace them up again in a professional fight.
If you need a fighter who made his debut 22 years ago to save boxing then you need a brain transplant. I'm glad Floyd has gone. He has been doing a heist on the sport since 2009 and people are still keen to get robbed.
