I'm all for the best fighting the best and having undisputed, unified champions in every division. But a by product of having 2 elite fighters face off, is sometimes you have a highly tactical fight that isn't very pleasing to casual fans. Casuals don't care about ring generalship, defense, footwork, feinting, controlling the distance etc... and all of the technical nuances of the sport. They want to see action, flush head shots, and highlight reel knockouts.

To help increase the profile of the sports, promoters need to put on more mismatches so fans can see more of those "oooohh" "ahhhhh" face distorting, KO highlight reel moments. Causals will appreciate it and it will help generate more interest in our beloved sport. Don't get me wrong, I dont think boxing is dying or any of that ****, but I believe that it is the premier combat sport and I think this will help the rest of America see that as I know it is still huge in Mexico and European countries. Thoughts??

No it doesn't. That's the problem with this sport.

There are WAY TOO MANY mismatches as it is. You need to quit boxing and go do something else.

    You're bad for the sport.

They may have been one sided, but that wasn't due to the quality of the opposition, that was due more to Tyson's dominance.

Of course initially, when Tyson was green, the quality of his opposition was lacking, but that's common for all fighters when they begin the sport, with a few exceptions like Lomochenko.

There ought to be a law against fair fights, if there isn't already.

Boxing needs an international commission to stop the blatant corruption strangling the sport. Corruption is rampant from State Commission level
all the way down. What happened to the fair fights between two evenly matched fighters with the legitimate best man on the night getting the win??
that rarely happens these days. Are some of these judges absolutely incompetent or are they blatantly corrupt ??? I know what I believe
