Boxing needs Ward to win

This thread is gonna feel some serious Krusher heat, But I think you know that. lol

 

If you believe boxers have to be defensive, inactive and only defend against pushovers, then sure... Then boxing is better off with Ward.
Boxing really suffered in the Tyson days I remember. An active, highly offensive fighter that fought the who's who at the time let people turn their backs on boxing back in the day.

You need Ward to win fanboy... Boxing needs a good fight that the fans will remember regardless of who wins.

the reason that boxing looks less attractive right now is because weve had wlad the octupus rule the hw division for 10years and the best p4p fighter floid the roadrunner ruling the ww division.

This seems more sensible to me. The sport needs to nurture itself and not rely on 1 or 2 self serving people to carry it.

Sadly, that isn't likely to happen. The new trend seems to be "Have my dad/trainer act like a clown so I can build hype" or even better... Twitter callouts. Many fans seem to circle jerk to this nonsense and most threads are about what someone said. It's borderline WWE.

 

Mayweather did so much damage to the sport. He absolutely killed it for casual fans. So many millions of people conned into buying the Canelo and Pacquiao fights. I had a huge party for my co-workers at my place for May v. Pac (not even casual fans, just sports fans there for the event) and they were so disappointed in boxing that not a single one of them registered interest in watching any fight since then.

We need the return of the aggressive, lights out puncher. GGG, Kovalev, Canelo (doing his part lately). These "elite" fighters have 36minutes to knock a man out - it must be done!

Kovalev will brutalize ward and the world will slowly become right again.

Yeah, boxing needs diva like Ward, who is fighting only in Cali, most of the time he's fighting bums.
Kova will fight anybody, anywhere. We need boxers like Kova not like Ward.
