A list from a few years back, listing out the 20 greatest heavyweight fights: https://boxingnewsonline.net/the-20-greatest-heavyweight-fights-in-history-ranked-from-20-to-1/ What do you think of the list? Any that missed out that should be there? What about the order - any fights undeservingly low or high?
in typical BN fashion just have to get that all important British/English 'rule' in, even if it isn't. TF, Wider, not even the best of an English HW historical fight, little own British, NEVERMIND Historically World. BN is hard to enjoy (others Periodicals too), and I had 65-70 years of them. TF and many others too, belong on NO Lists!
Well, I’d say Fury-Wilder 1 was a fight with some memorable moments but one which Fury largely looked to be controlling minus those moments. Not necessarily sustained or exciting action but a memorable fight for those moments. Round 12 can legitimately be called a great round, though. But I agree, I don’t think I’d include it.
Well I see they have some fights in their that are not based on just significance of the fight. So if we're basing it on that then fights like Holyfield/Tyson, Wilder/Fury 1, wouldn't be in my list because I don't find these fights overly exciting. Larry Holmes vs Mike Weaver Evander Holyfield vs Michael Dokes Larry Holmes vs Tim Witherspoon Are some good candidates.
