I think it will be shared among a wider variety, but who knows? Gary Russel Jr. is a beast at the lower weights, Adrien Broner has the love him or hate him personality with great skills, and Kell Brook will carry the British flag. In the meantime, Amir Khan could very well become a brighter star. He has a brash personality, good skills, and consistently fights good, exciting fights.
Well... Since Bradley is going to get KO'd by Pac and Ortiz got schooled by Mayweather and both of them are young.. it gives us a good measuring stick of the talent in this new upcoming generation. Floyd and Manny will still be around for another 1-2 years though. By that time the upcomers will have nicely slotted themselves in their position of relevance and skill Khan will have Alexander will have Ortiz will more than have Bradley will have Maidana will have Guerrero will have? Russel Jr will be moving in a more highlighted position Broner same as russ Jr Kell Brook should have Rios won't be relevant in a few more years unless he stays protected For me as a brit the most interesting happenings in boxing within the next year will be Kell Brook fighting world class opposition at 147 and Khan moving up to 147 superstar? Khan sure is exciting and brings in the crowd.. whether he can get to the very top? If he can handle the big guys (ortiz berto etc) at 147 and gain power then he has a good shot forgot Canelo... ye him of course. 21 years old.
Andre Ward.. He is a very complete fighter, can fight inside, outside, nice jab that he can throw both to the head and body, very well prepared, excellent slick defense, great accuracy and very good speed.. He will dominate the sport for years to come..
If Saul "Canelo" Alvarez improves before he gets beat, he has the best chance at being the next Super Star.
Can anyone say Ginger Man? Canelo will by far be the biggest star once Floyd passes the torch to him. I also believe Pac will face stiffer and stiffer competition from now on and go out on a bad leg once he decides to retire.
I think Alvarez has the best chance to do it. Huge following already, Oscar knows what he is doing and i suspect he may be Floyds last fight giving Floyd some trouble and then going on to dominate 154, he could take out the guys that came up from 140 like Ortiz, Khan and Bradley then move up to middle and dominate there.
Canelo needs to get with someone who can improve his stamina. If Saul can fight for the full 3 minutes of each round, he will be very ****ing hard to beat.
:deal. 1-2 years the torch will be passing that's shy they doing a canelo ppv this September making him more known before the eventual huge money fight and event that would be.
