been matched next week against some one for my 2nd amatuer fight.. he weighs 94kg and on the night reckon i will be 89 kg..does any1 on here no how strict they are on the weigh ins.. as supposed to be within 3kg of eachother i believe..from england by the way if differnt rules over here..cheers
thats impossible 89kg is heavyweight you will only face someone that weighs up to 91KG 91kg+ is superheavy so your not in the same class
Not true at all. If it's a club show you could be matched at this weight, I've seen it happen before. Just eat as you would normally to have lots of energy. Don't undereat or overeat on the day.
cheers for your replys.. last time i fought we had to be between 87kg to 90kg.. they where really strict..will have to speak to my coach on this one, as its a 2 hour drive to fight, long way to go to be told that the weights are to far apart!
Yes, at club shows with seniors I have. Lower level fights but fights none the less. A boy at 89/90kg and another at about 100kg I'm pretty sure.
The lighter guy may have weighed in above 91 but I'm sure he didn't, in fact he usually sat around 85 I think. The fight was set up at around 90 but clubs occasionally aren't fully truthful about weight.
at the club show i had my one and only fight at they allow 3kg either side of the allocated weight for the fight, but you cant move the weight so it fits. One of my mates broke his back getting down to the weight (hed went out to vegas for the pacman fight two weeks before) anyway the lad came in 4kgs under so they wouldnt allow it.
