Boxing is always seen as the 'doomed' sport because it doesn't have a set schedule like team sports. While there are problems, its all overblown. All these fights we complain now that they are not happening will take place by the end of 2011. We should take a page out of the delusional UFC fanbase and actually support our sport instead of continuously shitting on it. Douchebag promoters, who in reality do very little promotion should also present a more positive image of the sport. Look at that idiot Lou DiBella, he whines incessantly about all the problems boxing has and how he is considering leaving the business...guess what Lou, you are part of the problem so STFU or get the f*** out you hypocrite. Why did he need to say that there might not be a boxing business in 5 years when promoting a great fight like Williams-Martinez II? All this boxing is dying garbage is all superficial paranoia.
Yea, Boxing is in great shape. Most people (U.S. Americans) think it's "dying" just because Boxing in the U.S. is in the tank right now, most U.S. citizens couldn't name you 5 other countries in the world or they think Europe is ****ing Australia. Anyway, point is most U.S. citizens don't know **** outside their own country and Boxing as a whole is doing great.
November is turning out to be a good month of fights. Next year seems even better. We jus gotta see how it turns out.
US boxing is in a pretty shittastic state compared to previous areas. seems to be doing solid overall though
