Boxing Odds and Bets?

    Can someone explain to me how boxing bets and odds work?
    On this website, it says that the Khan-Maidana odds are Khan has -300, and Maidana has +240. Can somebody explain to me? Sorry if this is a noob question.

    iff you bet 100$ on Maidana, you can win 240$ profit

    if you bet 300$ on Khan, you can win 100$ profit.

    Right for example AA is +200 to win inside the distance vs Froch. So put up $1000 and you get back $3000 or make $2000 profit.

    U r right,but the way bookies would explaind would be:1.00=2.40..And 3.00=1.00
