You can argue inept if you don't like his criteria of judging. That's a valid opinion even if I disagree. However, I really don't think he is corrupt. His scoring is always pretty easy to predict once you know what he values and what he doesn't in fights. And I've seen plenty of times he has scored fights where HBO would have been better off had the other guy won.

Boxing is about doing more damage to your opponent more than he does to you. All the criteria for judging boil down to that simple concept. To much individual focus on things like ring generalship, defense, effective punching etc cause the ignorant to miss the forest for the trees.

No I'm still young and can see. I also after the fact had the ability to go back and see what landed and what didn't over and over again which further confirmed that what I was with my young eyes was far more accurate than what the old man saw.

Part of the reason Mr. Ford has judged so many fights is because in his arrogance he has continued judging far past the time he lost the ability to.

But by going with this guy's logic, you can win a fight without throwing a punch.

He mentions numerous times Bradley's defence and giving him points for it.

 

No you got that wrong to, he is pointing out that HBO is giving Pacquiao credit for shots that are blocked or completely miss.

He credits Bradley for slipping and ducking those shots and countering he also highlights that Bradley threw more combination shots in there all ignored by HBO.
