Like I said, take their opinions with a grain of salt. Toney is a Wildcard feller and Roach is Pac's trainer FFS.

I have yet to hear an argument for a Pac victory coming from a totally neutral side. And I expect there won't be any, because nobody without an ounce of bias would be that utterly stupid.

Theres too big of a size difference, Oscars a middleweight, Pacquiao is a blown up lightweight, theres no way Pacquiao can take punches from a middleweight, end of story, no lightweight can. Also, the fact that Oscar is a good boxer and has huge physical advantages along with fairly fast hands ultimately erases any chance Pac has against him. But trust me, this fight will never be made because its an absolute joke.

I understand that Diaz is no DLH. I was just pointing out that Manny just doesn't try to run straight through his opponent's like he used to.

I also realise that Oscar is much bigger but, like i originally said, if the fight is at 147 it will help Manny greatly. Losing just those few little pounds will destroy DLH. If the fight is at 150 then DLH beat's Manny but if it's at 147 i do believe Manny stand's a chance.

What was the Forbes fight at? 150? Oscar didn't look great in that fight. Plus If Forbes can hit him then Manny certainly can.

Im not saying that even if the fight does happen at 147 then Manny will win. Im just saying it probably won't be a murder job on Manny like most are predicting.

yeah thats how i feel too....but the thing is the fight makes no since to me from Oscars stand point, ok say he wins?... so ****ing what?, you beat up little ass pacman? how does that do anything for your resume.....and if he loses, which i dont rule out as possiblity (as you hinted with his forbes fight) suicide is his only option, i assume this is how most people feel about the fight......it's just ridiculous in every aspect of the word

I am just so lost with the analogies. Forbes is a totally different fighter from Manny.

I will just point out the obvious to you. DLH FEASTS ON BRAWLERS AND HAS TROUBLE WITH SLICKSTERS. Forbes brought with him to the table the stylistic nightmare Oscar has always had (for your reference watch the Whitaker, Mosley, Quartey and PBF fights) yet the huge size discrepancy was key factor in overriding that horrible matchup. Pac can box decent but not in the way that will give Oscar an ounce of trouble !

Pac's improvments in boxing are too overrated because he had a stationary southpaw target in Diaz to display it against (Diaz being a lefty helped). Ever wonder why that 'improvement' wasn't too evident against guys like Barrera (rematch) and Marquez? Ever wondered why that improvement almost came overnight? That right hook aka Manila Ice thing too. This 'secret weapon' was developed before the first Morales fight. We saw bits of it in the 2nd and 3rd Morales fights, but not too much. It was only put in blatant display in Manny's last bout. That should keep things in perspective. Pac's boxing hasn't improved THAT much (as Pac fans are implying).

Bottom line, using Diaz as an example of how Pac beats or even stands a chance against Oscar is downright idiotic.

James Toney also thinks he can beat both Klitschkos......end of story. What the hell else is Manny and Roach gonna say, they want the $30,000,000 that comes with the fight and have nothing to lose if they get knocked out. Don't know the other guy.

For those of you using Diaz as an example of why Manny would have a shot with Delahoya.....just stop ok. Diaz not only is smaller, weaker and slower he isn't close to Delahoya's level when it comes to ability, skills, pedigree or experience.

everything you're saying is true...but i think another important factor from the forbes fight was, Oscar hit him with his best punch (left hook) on multiple occasions, and he didn't get dropped....and although Forbes has never been KO'd i dont think he has a iron chin, meaning De La Hoya lost alot of steam from his punches among other things........but at the end of the day Hoya just too dam big for pac in my eyes, but i dont see the fight happening, i'm about 99% sure DLH cant make 147 anymore, and if he does it'll be a pretty huge risk

    A few good points there.

When i say Manny has to box smartly i don't mean in a Whitaker, Mayweather way. He's not nearly good enough to do that. I just mean fight in a more boxer-puncher way. Use his speed on the outside and as the fight goes on and DLH tires then start to go in more and brawl.

Oscar's fitness is pretty bad and if Pac can withstand the early round's then i believe Oscar will tire badly, especially if the fight takes place at 147.

I do believe Oscar is naturally to big for Manny and if this fight happened a couple of years ago then Oscar would steamroll Manny but now with Oscars ever decreasing stanima and with him having to boil down to 147 then i believe that Manny does stand a chance.

Manny Pacquaio couldn't beat DLH if DLH was fighting with his arms behind his back. The DLH-Mayweather rematch idea was garbage and this fight is COMPLETE garbage, but if it comes off people will probably praise the **** out of it.
