“It’s a 50/50 fight” Usually by promoters or broadcasters trying to push how evenly matched it is. Actually it’s not a 50/50 it’s about a 70-30 which can be verified by the average bookmaker price. The term needs to go in the bin as 50/50 fights are extremely rare for obvious reasons. What you are trying to say is this fight is competitive and you can make an argument for either boxer. Which is scary because it shows how many complete mismatches there are in the sport where the ‘b’ side have a less than remote chance of winning.
