What's the quickest way to stop a growing fire?
Throw some water on it, or smother it out.

The fire for Mayweather vs Pacquiao was burning.... getting hotter and hotter.
Everyone wanted to see it, and some people actually thought Mayweather would have a chance at losing to the current #1 P4P fighter.
Floyd Mayweather's most cherished possession is his 0 losses.
He has been extremely intelligent in the ring, and very shady outside of it.
He has, to the dismay of boxing fans, carefully crafted his entire persona around being the best ever, being unbeatable, and untouchable.

His personal attacks on potential threats are well documented, and easily found everywhere you find his name.
He doesn't intend on fighting Shane Mosley.
He doesn't want a fight with Paul Williams.
He will never fight Margarito(who should be banned).
He will not give a shot to any up and comer.
If you don't agree with his selection for opposition, then you just "don't understand the business of boxing"
It's all about discrediting, and not about fighting.

"What have you done for the past 7 years?"
    "Sit back and collected"

    "What about your legacy?"
    "Legacy don't pay my bills"

"Why won't you fight shane mosley?"
"Who, shane mosley who got 5 losses?"
"Shane mosley who was on steroids?"

The pattern set by this man is undeniable. His legacy is tarnished. He is slowly turning into a boxing "what if"
Don't let him now convince you that a very consistent Manny Pacquiao is now a Performance Enhancing Drug abuser. Don't buy into the politics and the smear campaign. It hurts boxing.
Boxing loses steam every time a fighter like Floyd opens his mouth and discredits it's combatants. The more you guys act like a mouth piece for this guy, the more credibility you give the art of ducking.
If you are a fan of mega fights, you should feel compelled to be outraged at Mayweather over this debacle.
Public demand will get this fight made, don't drop the charge and start calling Pacquiao a roider, save your energy for getting these 2 guys into the ring for boxing's sake.

After Shane had seen a dentist and gone on holiday... now hes ready?
Margarito career Credibility has been tarred... however... everyone is ducking THE PUNISHER!!!

you know personal attacks in boxing is nothing new... Bhop said he would never lose to a white boy, Ali called numerous 'brothers' uncle toms etc...

oh and also, I dont believe Pac is a user, however, his refusal to agree to the best possible test available you could say is shady.

I might have to lengthen my leash on you, you're jumping on my nuts before I can even get my fly back up.

It's alright though dude, everyone needs an idol. I understand Mayweather isn't quite cutting it for you anymore, but i'm here to take his place.

IMO these 2 fighters are not above the sport, sure i would like them to fight, (i still believe they will cos all this mess is a smokescreen to me) the sport will survive nevertheless.

Yeah, but I hear people who never talk about boxing bring this up. That's why I'm so pissed off at Floyd.
He is throwing all the buzz right into the trash.

Of course, but they aren't turning down fights with him.
In fact, I think Paulie said he would love to fight him, which just throws him into hypocrite city with Floyd.

That **** was always going to happen... you think anyone would've latched onto the notion that Pac 'maybe' on it if he agreed to the testing terms? If Manny said yes, this wouldn't be an issue... but when his team speaks for him and says 'yes any test to only on these days to none' prior to him saying no, what did you expect? How was that Floyds fault?
