The striking in MMA is incredibly bad in comparison to boxing. MMA fighters dont have the power, speed, technique, precision, coordination, balance, footwork, defense or chin, of boxers

even fury at his worst would beat all the top 20s , there were probably a handful of boxers in the top 5 who would have upset him.

    Ngannou did beat him.

Ray mercer got tapped by kimbo who had 2 weeks of mma training.

    Toney tapped to couture
Silva besting Chaves at 48 when he was 35ish , where was his power?

As for power, there are plenty of mma heavies who both punch and kick harder than boxers do.

power is overrated, its precision and timing that cause the most damage, catching someone off guard does more damage. even if the fighter has a good chin..

Ray mercer who is regarded as one of the most best chin fighters in boxing gets dropped and chinned by a average kick boxer no one has ever heard of 28 second mark

Musashi was the man. He may have not been elite but he wasn't a nobody by any means.

i never said he was bad , he was average, he got koed 10x in his career , yet, mercer had lots of ko in boxing and could not chin him. power doesn’t always translate to other combat sports.

Chavez didn't take it seriously. Not sure what getting tapped out has to do with punching power.

Power is not overrated. Ngannou looked like he was getting hit by a truck. He's never been anywhere near as hard

MMA power is not boxing power. Ngannou has unreal power for MMA. Not so much for boxing. His chin is good but MMA guys don't hit very hard in comparison to boxers. The first clean shot landed on him by a big puncher like Joshua sent him down. It is what it is.
