novices don't do that to the #1 boxer in the world, nice try, but that is not how things work. A novice chess player doesn't near beat Magnus. Boxing is just professional fist fighting, you guys make it seem something much more magical and complicated.
Fury wasn't number 1 and he has taken about 6 fights seriously in his career if you have been paying attention. Discipline is not exactly his strong suit.
dude it's just boxing. You guys make it seem like boxing is the nfl or football(soccer) Anyone can be a boxer, anyone can do mma or kick boxing. You guys think a strong black man from africa with an 84 reach with 6'4 frame cant be a professional puncher is silly. all combat sports are filled with average men. Even Aj himself, he would never be a rugby player or a footballer. If you look at the entire history of boxing , it's filled with guys who failed in other sports and chose combat sports as an alternative. Only in boxing forums do you get these weird bias debates. In muay thai and mma boards there is more neutral respect amongst combat athletes. so the point that i'm making is that Fury just got overwhelmed by a big strong dude with heavy punches because boxing is just punching, so much dumb convos on here sound like an anime message board between dragon ball z characters.
This is literally MMA. Ngannou started out as a boxer and then became an MMA fighter. Good thing he did cause if he had just stayed in boxing hed never have made it this far. When he got into the UFC there were around 30 heavyweights signed to the UFC. To be a UFC champion as a heavyweight is way easier than boxing. You just have to be the best 1 of the 30. Ngannou started MMA at 26 and became a champion. What sport can you do that in? MMA is literally failed Boxers and NFL players. Ngannou just like McGregor started out in boxing and then had to transition into MMA and then go back to boxing to make money.
Saw someone online say it best. Anyone whos a heavyweight in boxing and cant make it so far should become an MMA fighter and the chances are that you might get some wins and a big UFC marketing behind you. Then you can leave and do a cross boxing match and people will think you have a good chance at winning. See McGreggor and Ngannou
marciano, aj, mercer , willard , wilder all started late and boxing wasnt there first love, atleast for rocky and wilder.
The don`t have the chin that top boxers do but some of them certainly have the speed, you can see speed, you can see how quick some of the punches are and their kicks are insanley fast.
His body suggests otherwise, Fury says he only trains for 5 weeks in the lead up to a fight now, he`s a lazy blob.
