Can't argue with that, Olympic Silver medalist at 17... Shame about his recent attitude issues and stalling his career in hopeless anticipation of a Floyd fight.
He has wasted a massive chunk with his post-Garcia fights, Molina and Diaz are okay tune ups, Collazo is meh but a decent fighter for his 147 debut, Alexander is a good win and not easy to outbox like he did, Algieri... pointless but entertaining. Been keeping busy lately at least, still young and adding to his game which is nice to see. Garcia 2, Maidana 2, Thurman, Brook, Bradley, Peterson 2, Porter... plenty for him out there, heck even Rios, Mattysse, Provodnikov if he's a free agent. Might end up with a very good resume if he can avoid being stopped again. You can say 'if only he had a dependable chin' but that's the beauty of fighters, 95% lack one vital component that'd make them more or less unstoppable. He can do more without a superfight against May or Pac who most likely both stop him and stall his career once again.
Canelo is a boxing prodigy. The fact that he can compete at the highest level so young and having one of the most mediocre, ****ty corners/ trainer/ team at that level says a lot about ginger's talent
Perhaps? He won a world title from a longtime dominant champion, Antonio Cervantes, at age 17. No doubt he's probably the prototype prodigy.
Yeah, I was expressing slight bemusement that a guy who was a 3 division champ at the age of 22 despite having a notoriously lax work ethic, hadn't managed to get a mention on a thread about "boxing prodigies"
