Boxing professionals who are forum members

    After many years posting on a football board, I was surprised to see Billy Nelson posting on this forum and I signed up a day or two after that. At the same time I'm shocked by the abuse he took off "Bruce" as Billy Nelson is right at the top when it comes to trainers. Maybe a generational thing as would never speak to a respected boxing man in that way. If you're reading this Billy you've done a superb job and are only going from strength to strength mate.

    Now the question is who else is a member here? It would be great to be able to discuss boxing with these people. I have never seen that on the football forum that I've posted on for nearly two decades. Not one instance. The other thread about meeting boxing professionals shows how tight-knit a community boxing is.

    Tim Witherspoon had posted on the World Boxing Forum, FYI. He was a tidy heavyweight.

    Billy used to post on here all the time back in the day.
    Arnie Farnell still posts now and then.
    Back in the day, Joe G, Tony Bellew and a load more others.

    Would not be surprised if some of the alts are boxers, trainers, staff working for promoters or staff working for Broadcasters.

    The genuine boxing people like Billy Nelson and Arnie posting on here will not lose any sleep should people direct abuse at them. The abusers would never say it in person.

    Tony Bellew found this place OK until one day he got slapped in the face with an adverse comment then promptly logged out rushing upstairs back to the safety of his wife and kids.

    They did get a load of stick on here at times. Billy was always thick skinned tho.
    Not sure what it's like for them on X and other outlets as I havnt been on X for a long time
