Indeed. Goossen, he was just being a regular promoter there. Not candid.

Ever heard of something called sarcasm?

You have the same today with the weight classes, fighters dehydrating themselves to make the weight and then coming out fight night significantly heavier. It's not the # of weight classes which are the issue here, it's just fighters trying to get the edge.

I'd like to see something done about the amount of sanctioning bodies but I don't see what can really be done, it's a free country they can set up a company that awards belts if they want to, it'd be nice if the fighters would get together and refuse to fight for minor body belts and stupid bollocks like interim or silver titles, but it's become apparent over the years they won't do that, if an interim title means a tv fight and more money they take it every time.

The most realistic thing boxing promoters can do to turn the sport around in America is deliver better cards. The JMM-Juan Diaz card was pretty good, I didn't see it but the Mosley-Mora show was supposedly good up to the main event so there's at least a start. More often that not though there's a main event and a bunch of un-interesting fights with prospects blowing away past it contenders or journeymen, eventually people are going to get tired of it and find a new hobby. Also sticking all the even semi-interesting fights on ppv doesn't help, no one who wasn't a fan before is going to be able to see the new faces coming up.

Mosley Mora card was very good. It was the main event that stunk because of Mora thinking it was a track meet.

Boxing fans are boxing's worst enemy. Just hang around the forums for a few years, and that becomes obvious.
