Glass half empty: The thread starter DKSAB. Glass half full: The thread starter, in the spirit of the season, decided to unite the community by creating a thread so mind-numbingly stupid that most everyone on the site would be compelled to comment about it. I'll give the TS the benefit of the doubt and commend him for taking one for the team. :good
the only thing bad about boxing is paying to watch and paying for the premium channels i have hbo n showtime package i gotta pay 18 bucks a month n i order all the big fites unless theres sumthing else on for free but other than that an the few blatant ducks in boxing ...boxing is boxing n put anyone in the ring and ill be tuning in. i also have a bunch of stupid channels i dont need but to get the package i want to have epix and bein channel i gotta do wut i gotta do... so really the only bad part of boxing is finding a place to watch.. i dnt have that prob becuz i order .. i can go sum where n watch the big fights but i dont like watching fites with a bunch of ppl because there usually ppl talkin nonsens during the fight an most of the time it doesnt even have anything to do about boxing.. or sum clown just talks bout boxing everyone brings up tyson lol so annoying i like to watch the fight with couple good friends n there isnt any more i look forward to then watching fight the fights on a saturday i once had a job an it was a good job for me. but i had to work every saturday i didnt go home till 12am or 1am on saturdays as well as fridays... i quit that **** mostly because of that. i kno i can dvr n all that but man f that i wanna watch that ish live.
Same Here, two new stars were seen this year and an old one won a World title again. How could he have missed that?. Terrible thread as there's been some awesome fights this year, some wars as well.
If you listen to the critics, boxing's been dying since it began. Every era is the worst ever...... until the next one.
A very interesting film. Boxers then really were still heavily based in bareknuckle weren't they. Keeping distance so you can't get tied up and thrown down to the canvas, even their hooks were really long loops from the outside. They tried to time each other's leads with stop-hits and cross-counters more than defending alone. More like glove-less self-defense boxing than modern sport.
Thanks for all the kind remarks guys. Maybe it's just me who knows but I'm getting less and less interested in Boxing all the time. Here are some potentially upcoming fights that I find a tiny bit interesting: Wlad VS That WBO #1 guy. Not gonna bother to give that fight much thought but sure it could be nice to catch a glimps of it on youtube or somewhere before I read the results. Floyd VS Pacquio. Two years ago it would still have been a hell of a fight, now one would have the feeling that one was watching something past its best before date if it were to happen. Spilzka VS Jennings. Two very imperfect fighters but with Spilzka entering that ring it should be an entertaining fight either way it goes. Any good fights involving Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury. Sadly it doesn't look like any such fights are going to happen. GGG VS Saul Alvarez could be an interesting fight to watch but they're not even in the same weight division. And last but not least I wouldn't mind seeing Guillermo Rigondoux involved in some good fights but I just took a look at the fighters in his weighdivision and the one above it and I simply have no idea who those fellows are. Maybe you guys are right. Maybe these days I simply don't know **** about boxing. It's not hard to gather from what I've wrote that I'm far from being as interested in the sport as I once was.
