Froch isn't an ATG, and Froch got up. This Aldo guy is supposed to be an ATG and he got KTFO'd in 13 seconds. MMA chins are disgraceful. Must be some special energy drink they take. I have no doubt in my mind McGreggor will also get KTFO soon enough.

I don't know why people compare the two sports. They are completely different. Which one is better is strictly for the fans to decide. To me soccer Sucks but lots of people are passionate about it. I love boxing but also appreciate some of the artistry of mma. But of course striking is better in boxing. It's what it is. Put mma in a ring with boxing rules and they will have less of a chance than a good boxer in with a good mma fighter. At least a boxer has one aspect he's better at in their cage. Mma guys have nothing better if they step into a ring.

Is there a time limit on how long an ATG is supposed to last for?

Two men have a fight. One will usually win. 13 seconds or 13 minutes, if you get hit on the button YOU WILL GO TO SLEEP.

Seriously, idiots like you have NEVER had a fight in your life.

Froch at SMW is EASILY an ATG.

He also has one the best chins in boxing. But if he got kicked in his face, he'd go to sleep. That's indisputable due to the force generated from a kick.

You're missing the point! ATG best in division whatever!

Froch lunged in with no defence, boxers do the same thing in the heat of the moment.

McGregor may also get knocked out but that's good at least the best fight each other and if the title gets passed around a few fighters it's more exciting. I enjoy watching all of it so the more knockouts the better.

No you are missing the point. That was nothing like the Froch knockdown. Aldo actually RAN forward like an utter ****, and had enough forward momentum to have him continue on that path and faceplant face first on the mat..ridiculous! Remember he wasn't rocked, he wasnt stunned, all his synapses were firing correctly. Simply inexcusably bad. No matter how much u guys will try to defend what happened, that was simply ATROCIOUS!!!

Dont waste your time. These are people who like Dane White. That is all you need to know about UFC fans. Scumbags of the combat sports world.

    So what?

Aldo is a black belt in BJJ and black belt in Luta Livre = he is a grappler. He tried to close the distance (what grapplers usually do for the takedown) fast and got KTFO.
Can happen if a grappler runs into a fist. Fujita once runned in a knee by CroCop.

I mean what s the point?
Of course it looks funny und "unskilled" in the view of Boxers and stand up stylists, but Grapplers (Wrest lers, BJJ, Luta Livre etc. stylists) use to close the distance very fast to grab the opponent. In Boxing, Fencing or any stand up style you wouldn t do it that way, simply because you don t wantto grab someone and bring him to the floor with throws etc., you want to punch/kick etc. in punching/kicking distance, not in grappling distance.

I'm not missing the point, someone said same thing doesn't happen in boxing. It does its part of combat sports.

And whoever the **** is saying I'm a Dana fan I'm not that either I like all combat sports.

The reason most get KO,d is from opponent making a mistake, deal with it and move on.

    The sport is a joke.

I give credit for having the stones to get in there and fight but the skill level compared to Boxing is night and day. Far too many fighters pick up the sport in there 20's and have great success(Rousey, Lesner).

Its a generation or two away from being higher level.

But they already had a strong base (grappling).

Look at Sergio Martinez. The man was a CYCLIST for christ sake! And he went onto be THE MAN at MW.:lol:

Same with Hopkins. He picked up the sport in PRISON!:lol::lol::lol:

Guys like Tyson Fury, Carl Froch etc look like they've never boxed a day in their life!

Froch and Fury boxed all their life. Sergio Martinez is a beast athlete all in all, he's an anomaly. Usually top level boxers start early.
