In recent times I have found myself pondering a simple question that has contrasting viewpoints associated with it: how much responsibility does ‘boxing’ hold towards it’s fans?
‘Boxing’ can be simply the name of the hand-to-hand contact sport- that much is clear; but it is also a universal phrase for a community of people that make up a microcosm of combat, money and power. When considering the figures involved in ‘boxing’ we would look to the likes of; fighters, judges, promoters, referees, the media and trainers. There are numerous individuals who influence the way fans view their beloved sport and I find myself asking how much responsibility these persons hold towards spectators.

This may all sound very cryptic, but as a devoted follower of the sport, I feel well and truly manipulated- and you should too.

    good stuff.

arum will do well remebering who made these guys big,the boxing fans.

if theys a figt yall dont really like that arum puts together, boycott it,dont go to it,dont pay for it,watch it on stream, most do it anyway tbh.

let the greedy man pay for trying to get money or his fighters better career and better legacy.

Thanks, Yeah boycotting is the only way!

Sick of manipulative promoters and easy matched fights!

Marquez V Katsidis matchups are true boxing fights.

If boxing and fans was a man-wife relationship we would be the women who gets beaten up regulary but stays with the guy because she loves him and he makes her come a few times a year.
In all seriousness boxing doesnt care that much about the fans, its money>money>money>*****>fame>legacy>fans

A good start would be a boycott of bull**** PPV's .... anything to do with Hopkins or Roy Jones...and events like Mayweather against old man/small man dejour.

Anybody who purchased Mayweather vs. JMM or Pac vs. Clottey asked to be taken. Do you real blame boxing when suckers will pay $50 to watch crap like that? Wouldn't you take their money?
