Joe Calazaghe beat the knockout artist Jeff Lacy in 2006 to unify the IBF and WBO belts. Before the fight Joe was not the favorite on any bookies list and the odds were against him. Lacy considered him a "slapper" who had never officially knocked a man out before.

    Lacy was 21-0 17 KOs.
Calzaghe was 40-0 31 (British) KOs.

Lacy's best win was Robin Reid who Joe struggled to a SD win, Joe's was Eubanks who had already been fighting since 1985 and had seen his share of wars.

If Lacy had of defeated Joe what would that have added to his resume?:huh

IF and that's a big if..Lacy won he would of lived up to his promise and become the Super middleweight Mike Tyson, the new Roy Jones. There wouldn't of been a Super six but he would have Ko victories over Ward, Froch, Bute and Hopkins. He would be heading to the Hall of Fame... But he was ruined by Joe Calzaghe. It's kind of sad. Such greatness put out by someone who just was a little greater.

Lacy was never beating Ward or Hopkins, regardless of whether he ran into Calzaghe first. :blood

 Lacy went life and death with Omar Sheika and Calzaghe beat him from pillar to post.
I highly doubt anyone would pick him over Ward, unless they have some sort of an agenda.
