After last nights underwhelming finale to Canelo vs GGG 3 what other boxing series that produced some great fights ended with a dud?

I remember being very disappointed with Brandon Rios vs Mike Alvarado 3.

    SRL - Duran.

As with yesterday's fight, one of the guys was well past best.

John Ruiz vs Evander Holyfield 3.

The third fight was boring compared to the epic action filled first two fights who are amongst the best Heavyweight hell all weights fights in the history of Boxing.

I hated the way the Vasquez-Marquez rivalry ended.

Vasquez-Marquez, which ended with a fourth match that had no business happening whatsoever.
Duran-Leonard, which ended with a slog of a third bout between the two.
Canelo-GGG, which ended with a fight that was decent at best (the last several rounds saved it from being an all-time disappointment).

There should never have been a fourth fight to begin with. Vazquez vs Marquez 3 was the perfect ending to an amazing rivalry.

This wasn't a dud. This was a clinic by Canelo, with some late excitement. It wasn't as good as their first 2 fights, but it was still entertaining.

Jeff Fenech vs Azumah Nelson 3 was probably the most unnecessary rematch to take place, and the fight itself was indeed dull.

Vasquez needed to have retired. He lost his eye due to that fight, and what makes it worse is that everyone knew that losing his eye was a very real possibility.

Even more sad, especially to a warrior like Vazquez. He’s been in too many wars, just another reminder of how brutal boxing is.

Duran Leonard was a huge disappointment.

GGG Canelo III is right up there as well.

I always found Holyfield vs. Bowe 3 to be dissapointing.

Clinic? Entertaining? Dont you dare compare this fight to the previous two. It was unbearably boring and uneventful. Like all Canelos last several fake fights.

Honestly alongside Whyte Fury and Okoloe Chamberlain , one of the worst fights I've ever watched live
