May 6th (Friday), 2011 At The Mandalay Bay Casino, Las Vegas, NV This content is protected Diego Magdaleno (18-0) vs. Gilberto Leon (31-8-2) Bernabe Concepcion (28-4-1) vs. Juan Martinez (18-12-1) Abraham Han (12-0) vs. Taronze Washington (14-14) Austreberto Juarez (10-0) vs. Marlon Tapales (16-1) Allan Tanada (10-1-2) vs. Gil Garcia (4-1) A very nice card on ESPN FNF. The Main Event and co-feature should be good fights...And it a good test for the young Magdaleno. But this is my first chance to see Abraham Han as a pro. He was a very good amatuer from the state of Texas. _______________________________________________________________________________________ At The Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, CA This content is protected Librado Andrade (29-3) vs. Aaron Pryor Jr. (15-3) Enrique Ornelas (30-7) vs. Hector Hernandez (10-3-2) Deontay Wilder (15-0) vs. Reggie Pena (6-6) Randy Caballero (9-0) vs. Francis Ruiz (9-4) Excellent Card on Telefutura. Pryor Jr. who got robbed in his last fight vs unbeaten prospect Edwin Rodriguez, is facing another tough test in Andrade. Ornelas should coast versus Hernandez. But this card is also a chance to see prospects Caballero and Wilder. ___________________________________________________________________ May 7th (Saturday), 2011 At The MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV This content is protected Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2) vs. Shane Mosley (46-6-1) Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (20-0-1) vs. Jorge Arce (56-6-2) Kelly Pavlik (36-2) vs. Alfonso Lopez (21-0) Mike Alvarado (29-0) vs. Ray Narh (25-1) Rodel Mayol (27-5-2) vs. Javier Gallo (17-3-1) Pier Cote (14-0) vs. Aris Ambriz (15-1-1) Jose Benavides (10-0) vs. James Hope (6-7-1) Typical Top Rank card. Mis-matches and blow-outs. Everybody expects Pacquiao to win easy, although Shane will fight and fight hard early. Arce is not the fighter he used to be, Pavlik has an opponent that was brought-in to lose. The Alvarado vs Narh fight looks good on paper...but should be another Blow-out. The Mayol vs Gallo fight is the only fight that may be competitive. If any of you have never seen prospects Benavidas or Cote....they are FANTASTIC, Overall, great card...For a Free Illegal S.T.R.E.A.M. __________________________________________________________________________________________ At The Jahn Sportforum, Neubrandenburg, Germany Sebastian Sylvester (34-3-1) vs. Daniel Geale (24-1) Karo Murat (23-1) vs. Otis Griffin (23-7-2) This is the fight I want to see. Sylvester vs Geale should be fun to watch. _____________________________________________________________________ At The Prefectural Gymnasium, Osaka, Japan Koki Kameda (24-1) vs. Daniel Diaz (18-2) Tomoki Kameda (18-0) vs. Nathan Bolcio (10-2-1) The Kameda brothers are back in action. And Koki better Bring-it...Diaz is a tough fighter with POP from Nicaragua. _______________________________________________________________________________________ At The Koncerthuset, Copenhagen, Denmark Evander Holyfield (43-10-2) vs. Brian Nielsen (64-2) Cecilia Braekhus (17-0) vs. Chevelle Hallback (28-6-2) Not too excited about the Main-event....However the Co-Feature should be ****ING AWESOME!!!! A Battle between two of the best female fighters in the sport. Although the name I have given this fight is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!! Because Cecilia Braekhaus is a Hottie and Hallback probably has a ****. Braekhaus This content is protected VS Hallback This content is protected ____________________________________________________________________________ OK...That's all I have for this week. Sorry I didn't post schedules and updates for the past two weeks. I was on vacation in Costa Rica. Just found out this morning that the Spurs are out of the Playoffs and the Lakers are down 0-2...WOW!!!!
Holyfield fighting this weekend. Damnit, now i wont be able to stop my self from watching it. Thanks for reminding me......
Some good fights out there this weekend. Forgot Holyfield was fighting but I don't know who really pays attention anyways. The Telefutara card looks decent, I'd like to see the Andrade-Pryor match it should be entertaining. Pryor is ok and awkward with his size and can give Andrade trouble but I don't think he was robbed against Rodriguez at all. The Pac-Mosley ppv is an ok card overall, if the Soto fight was still on it would have been a good card. The ESPN card is ok but nothing special but the card in Germany looks solid. So there are some nice fights out there this weekend.
