This is a paper written by a scientist, not a scientific paper. People shouldnt accept the authors premise as fact.

This doesnt invalidate the Manny-PED rumours it adds to them.

I'm not surprised about this thing, I know a little bit about this bone remodeling way back in college and can be actually by explained by Wolff's law. You guys should check the wikipedia about this law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolff's_law

Can some ESB PED experts enlighten me to what kind of PEDs Pac is taking. And if it does exist, how come it doesn't reach the commission?

    Or is it all imaginary.

8inch wrists, that's impressive. My father's are about that size and he's got monstrous hands. Combine that with his massive legs and you get a better picture of how he is able to generate his power. Still he only knocked out cold one opponent above 135. His power gets his opponents respect, it's his speed and skill that are winning him these fights. He probably still could beat these guys if he didn't hit as hard, just would be a bit tougher to keep them off him.

Those saying Pac could've moved up earlier, why don't you just say all fighters could move up earlier? Pac started as a skinny kid, under 110 lbs and reportedly had to put rocks in his pockets for the weigh ins. It's been a natural progression. If you said he should be been fighting at welter back when he was at 130 you'd be a ****ing idiot. Mosley, Mayweather, De La Hoya all looked strong at 147, and they spent years at 135, and lower in Mayweather's case. It's not cheating or avoiding challenges. They were comfortable enough to keep making those weights and they moved up only when necessary, as almost all fighters do.

I'm no expert but historically the testers are always a step behind the guys developing PEDs.

Boxing doesnt have as strict a testing regime as many other sports & there have been many high-profile cases. Drug testing has never been a high priority of any commission.

I would guess Manny has had some sort of growth hormone that adds bone density. I'm yet to see any evidence that during his whole career Manny has always had such a large skeleton. A former flyweight with bigger wrists than Tyson? Why has his head appeared to grow over the past decade?

There isnt any conclusive evidence either way so believe what you want. IMO he is/has been on something but if I'm wrong Ill be the 1st to say so.

8 inch wrists on manny, seriously. Kinda makes sense though. I personally didnt see pac dwarfed in stature by much bigger guys in margarito and clottey. The pacquiao-hatton weigh in was really evidence that manny was no small LWW.

Are you serious? The size difference was so huge, it made me cringe. I saw the fight live and people near me chuckled how Pac look like a child beside Margarito before they fought.

That's because Hatton himself was not that big for a LWW. 5-6 and 67" reach is still a little small for a LWW and definately small for a WW

If Pac is taking growth hormones, what do you think is the effect? Yes, he should grow somewhere either in weight or in height. He obviously will not grow in height anymore so it is his weight that should grow. Can you give us his fight night weights so that we can get a proof that he is taking growth hormones?

Someone show emmanuel this so he can use it to convince the public that it's not shady for him not to take blood tests!

Mosley has a significantly undersized wrist for someone of his height and weight, but he has extremely good power and a granite chin.

The article was good. If we can pull up wrist measurements for a hard hitter like Tito Trinidad, this will be great.

As I already said, though you didnt highlight it there is no conclusive evidence, just me speculating.

HGH isnt the only hormone/steroid that encourages growth, as he isnt growing in height then if he is on something then that might account for increased bone size/density.

TBH fight night weights will never prove that he's juicing. It would require more thorough medical examinations/testing over a period of time, something which will never happen. Not just blood testing but looking at his organs & skeleton. Even OSDT has recently been proven beatable (ie Marion Jones) & will never be 100% effective at keeping up with technology.

A guy from PR on the previous page said Tito's wrists were smaller then he expected (though he gave no figure). The article only picks 3 guys Im sure that if a proper study was done on 1000's of fighters there would be plently of guys like Shane, small wrists but good power & punch resistance.

Yes, I wonder where the author found wrist measurements.

Does anyone know how to contact the author?

I want to look up Sugar Ray Robinson and Thomas Hearns!
