Thought we could do a decade by decade series and i thought let start with the 1990s. A rule is you can only count performances in that decade, so from 1990 to 1999, example mike tyson performance against holmes is discounted, lewis performance agaisnt michael grant discounted. heavyweights 1. L. Lewis 2. E. Holyfield 3. R. Bowe 4. M. Tyson 5. I. Ibeauchi 6. D. Tua 7. G. Foreman 8. R. Ruddock 9. T. Morrison 10. M. Moorer p.s how do do a poll
Nice list. Top 4 are locks, and it's just a case of working out the order. Based on 90s achievements, I would have Holyfield at #1 - Douglas, Foreman, Holmes, Bowe, Mercer, Tyson x2, Moorer. The knock is that he lost the series with Bowe, went 1-1 with Moorer, and 0-1-1 with Lewis. Some of Lewis' best wins came outside the decade. It's a tough call either way though. I think McCall should be in the next bracket - Lewis, Seldon, Damiani, Holmes is a better list of wins than either Ruddock or Morrison. Ruddock is too high if we're basing it on wins, and could only be based on how he did in two losses against Tyson. I tend to avoid giving credit for losses, and although both fights were hard I don't think either was particularly close. It's very difficult after the top 4, as no-one else put together a consistent run of wins and most had some significant losses. Ibeabuchi obviously didn't have any losses, but any ranking is based on two fights one of which was a knife-edge decision against Tua.
