I have a question is it really necessary to get boxing shoes for sparring and general boxing workouts. And if it is what are the better brand names, they have several from nike to everlast, which one would you choose.
For sparring I'd recommend these shoes; http://www.amazon.com/Adidas-Tyrint-Wrestling-Shoes-Black/dp/B0013PPUD8/ref=pd_sbs_a_4 If you already have another pair of boxing shoes, save them for fights (if you fight, of course).
i use wrestling shoes since i wrestled in highschool. they seem to work pretty well. wont look into gettin a pair of boxing shoes until i start fighting.
anyone know if reebok makes a boxing shoe? thought i saw someone with some reebok wrestling shoes many years ago. and a few fighters with reebok gloves.
I like the Pony custom style they mold the shoe to fight your foot exactly. a little spendy but well worth it.
If you're just working out and sparring, wrestling shoes would be just fine. How many days a week do you plan on using them?
Any training which involves footwork would be best done wearing boxing boots and not training shoes: Sparring Pad Work Bags Shadow Bboxing The boxing boot is designed with a smoother sole to help you step and slide and also twist your feet. The training shoe may have to much grip and inhibit a step and slide and twist movement. To develop good footwork wear your boxing boots. Kind Regards BH
