This guy claim to be the best but he won't fight the guys that fans want to see. I can't believe that he retired because his only option left was either Margarito or Cotto. Nobody really cares about him anymore but now he's back. The only thing is he is still afraid of the true welter fighters and is only picking on the smaller lightweight. I mean don't get me wrong, Marquez or Pacquiao vs Jr would be great but for someone who thinks he is the best he shouldn't be fighting them and focus on fighter like Cotto and Mosley. I think these promoters should run Mayweather out of boxing. Arum should offer Mayweather a 60/40 in favor of Pac. Oscar should offer the same for Mosley. These offer will show Mayweather that he is not what he think he is anymore. Either take it or FO.

He was always gonna come back - everyone knew that its no suprise. He's all about money...dont he call himself Money Mayweather? Anyway....he's not in a position to dictate - I think he is wanting a Pac fight after his comeback fight and hoping to be able to wangle a 50-50 cut. Pac can be the boss at the negotiation table here. Floyd who? ;)

Its up to the networks to decline these sort retirement fund 'marquee' fights. And fans as well. Watch a stream or something, don't pay for this ****.

Its exactly attitudes like this that STOP the fans getting the fights they want, give the man his due respect & offer him 50/50, why jeopardise the biggest fight in boxing (FMJ-Pac) by childishness ?

Sadly, this isn't likely to happen because those that don't pay to cheer the guy on are payin' to watch the ***** get beat.

Mayweather knows this and with much reluctance, I gotta give 'eem credit...it's rather clever.

nah, there are other fights Pacman can fight, boxing dont revolve around Floyd, and this is what he must figure out......

while Pac's fighting Cotto's, or Mosleys, Floyd can continue hunting in the LW division, i heard Valero's looking for a big money fight? and Guzman can dam sure make 144 himself

Former P4P #1 coming back and facing current P4P #2.

Still fans of the sport are bitching and complaining.:patsch
Just can’t understand how people can complain about this fight being made.

I think that true boxing fans should just appreciate that there is another good fight to look forward to.

These promoters should suprise Mayweather. Mayweather is probably looking at a 70/30 or 60/40 split in his favor but he gets hit with a 60/40 in favor of the other fighter. He's going to disagree and these promoters shold just say have a nice day. If he fights Cotto maybe he can get a 50/50 pruse. I think this will be good for boxing. We don't really need a boxer who claim to be the best like that in boxing. If you really think you're the best, you should know what the fans want. There's no doubt the fight to be made right now is Pac vs Mayweather but I think Arum should really look into this. 60/40 for Pac or have a nice day.

it's because the p4p number 2 just happened to be two weight classes beneath him! if he fought mosley or even cotto, nobody would be complaining at all. and i mean nobody!

Mosley is not the "speed"demon people speak about and nor is Cotto the "boxing genius" many think he is. Both are good boxers but none will bring the name and attention Pacquia will bring. Think about, Floyd is a great fighter. He only fought one smaller fighter and demolished him. Also, that smaller fighter was top ten Pound for Pound. He fought many of the best fighters and continues to do so. Sadly, many of you will hate because you do not understand the game. He is doing what Sugar Ray, Ali and many others did. He is "Playing" boxing. It is a "game". Hagler was dooped into fighting a smaller man, Sugar Ray (also Roberto Duran and Hitman Hearn) but Ray used the game to get more attention and win the fight. If not for these boxing geniuses, we would not still be one of the most marketable sports out there.

While back when there was talk that PBF would face Mosley, people complained like hell. :deal

JMM is good comeback fight for Floyd and it sets possible Pacquaio match up nicely.

Not going to happen, Pacquiao said if he takes this match then he wants no lower than 50% and its well known that Mayweather will never fight anyone unless he gets 55%, no lower. We have a slight prob there.

Mayweather is a dick. Just because he's good at boxing, doesnt mean he's good for boxing.

Even if he beats Pac and JMM he wont be p4p #1 until he beats Cotto/Mosley/Williams. IMO

What message does this send to young boxers? Fight the easiest fighters for the biggest paydays and ignore the real challenges
