Then maybe the hw's won't come in looking like the big show.

Back when boxing had 15 rds, hw's actually had muscle. Boxers would actually do road work/swim and actually bring exciting fights.

    Agree/Disagree?

I'd say it's a lot more pressing for the lighter weights than HW. It could definitely come back for anything below super middle. Championship fights only mind you.

You know the reason why they changed it from 15 to 12 rounds?

Won't happen because people don't have the attention spans and too much of a pussified society we live in.

    I agree though.

If anything we might see it cut down to 10 rounds sometime in the future.

It's possible but it'd be hard to get boxing back on network TV though, since that would mean less advertising time.

Yup. Kim died because of exhaustion in the championship rounds. They argued that the 3 extra rounds is dangerous for the boxers because exhaustion > harder to defend oneself > more vulnerable to permanent injuries/death. No disrespect but boxing is a very brutal sport. RIP Kim but I think that the extra 3 rounds would do good for boxing. Champions should be able to train for 15 rounds.

    I think it can Happen...
Or they can do it like Other Sports(overtime)
Fight for 12 rounds , tally up the scores and if its a Draw After 12 they fight 3 more rounds!
But only After the Doctors Visit Each Corner to make sure the Fighters are in Good Shape(Alert/No too Badly beaten) to carry on!!!!

Until they do,i think people should stop comparing new fighters to past legends, because those were warriors back in those days,if a guy gets a little cut now they stop the fight.

15 is too much, a 13th round would pretty much kill draws, and most controversy with fighters just surviving to the final bell at the end of 12

Just because it is a brutal sport does not mean they should not fighters health into consideration.

There was a very good reason the number of rounds was shortened. "So heavyweights wont be fat" is nowhere near a good enough reason to extend fights to 15 rounds
