Scrap you were right about the positioning of the feet on Mike tyson's stance, however I feel like spanking when people tell that he fought of the back foot. Those leading hooks and upper cuts can only be thrown from the front leg.

They can only be directed, from the front foot, the drive (engine) is the back foot and hip and knee.

That's correct and I agree with you, however Dempsey said do not transfer your weight from the front foot to the back foot just pick your up front leg and fall forward. With zero transference of body weight distribution to the back leg here is a pic of Mike Tyson doing a proper job. Notice how his head is positioned forward towards his front kneecap no his head is not going over his front toe! The weight is transferred forward its strange for somebody who fights off the back foot to have his shoulders leaning towards his front foot.

Scrap I found it here's a clip of him teaching how to throw the uppercut straight up just like you would hit a golf ball which only be done by transferring the weight over the front foot.:D

According to Mike Tyson a punch should be driven upwards fish hook motion. This punch allowed Mike Tyson to come up from the depths of the earth to splitting in-between his opponents gloves. You saw the demonstration scrap by him what is your take on it, is that a powerful punch? what is the purpose of that punch in your opinion?

Scrap starting 1:00 there's an brilliant illustration why the left hook must be thrown starting with the weight on the front foot. Luckily for me the weight is captured by a lighted circle giving indisputable evidence as to where the weight is shifted to.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e52x7wQ2jbw

the punches still landed and most important he's not a standup fighter he's moving in low and hitting the body then going upstairs. whether you like it or not he KO'd his opponent with a right to left hook combo. That should make any trainer feel proud.

Here's another vignettes of Mike tyson teaching the fundamental of throwing an uppercut pay close attention how he directs you to cast the weight of the r-r-right shoulder unto the lead leg.

Pecho what scrap teaches is called one-legged punching, there is decreased power since you're transferring power on one leg.
Balance is poor because the body's centre is being transferred from one leg to the next instead of staying in the middle punching off balance results in less than 50% power, and the punches are slow because you're trying to transfer power while standing on one foot.

You have absolutely no clue what balance is.:patsch
If you shift your weight on your front foot you are OUT of BALANCE.
    Dont you understand that?:nut
What you are trying to teach is what i call crap boxing where you get knocked the hell out.

Nah! Nobody teaches one-legged punching any more... Don't try it! Ever since Tyson came to the sport of boxing and started ko'ing everybody that reached in. The problem with one-legged punching is that there is no proper rotation of the core. Bad things happen when shift your weight back and forth you think that your on two feet but your not. One-leg takes 75% of the weight while the other leg takes 25% of the weight. The real problem is that you can't apply 100% of the force cause your off balance.

More so your body isn't able to generate full force because it isn't properly grounded.:D

By reaching in youre on your front foot, chin down, thats how you described it. Make your mind up, the body is there to transport the head to where it wants to go in balance. Body works all or nothing, simple enough. If the head isnt where its meant to be, out of balance everything is. Understand the consciousness of movement.
