Boxing Styles and the ESBs Bias!!!

the only thing i can they is this is not the original amsterdam i once remeber posting it seems as though you've evolved into this 1 track minded person almost as if you grew tired of battling wit with people and tring to educate them on the game . now you just post stuff almost like a bigtim 9 or PACDbest. not there yet but some people are starting to think this.

 

i agree:good swarmers/sluggers like pac, for example, was not being given credit by some of the posters because they would prefer either 'pure' boxers or counterpunchers like jmm and guzman. some are even assuming that joan guzman can school pac because he's 'better' than him in all aspects of the game. it's like saying SKILLS>WILL TO WIN. Maybe that's the main reason why some people here hate him, because he's not as well-schooled in boxing as the jmms and guzmans of the world

They stopped wanting to listen about the game, therefore I started a half serious, half fun forum personality.

I'll battle still, but in more low brow form, it tends to affect the situation better, either that or go the creative route like CHJ to get your means done.

You can talk about the sport all day long in total common sense, you'll likely get nowhere, so I just talk serious with serious fans and then toy around with people who don't care to be an observant fan.

Plus, underrated fighters need to be hyped, as overrated jokes are always hyped.

 

yes very true some people just have it inbeded in ther logic . but alot also has to do with the fact that some people can't make a pick with out predjudice. they don't look at the over all match up. and take it into account

I agree on the whole that there is a bias towards boxers on this site. People I think have the mistaken idea that because a person can bounce around and throw quick punches that he's more skilled then someone that doesn't.

 

I like the post Chimba.

Like in all places, you will find certain accepted discourses in ESB. This isn't the only discourse on ESB which is short sighted, but it is one thats worth pointing out, because after long enough ideas become accepted as concrete realities that may or may not be true.
