    Firstly, I agree with everything Frankenfrank says.

    Secondly, Tricky Nicky nearly shifted most of the style the lighter weights employed with his 90% weight on back foot, 10% of weight on heel of front foot stance and "rockabelly-ready" guard, allowing him to always be ready to uppercut the stomach in a shoe-shining fashion.

    ok he didnt imitate it, but he didnt invent it either. he stood on the backs of giants like tunney and those before him and turned their style into something of his own.

    the point im making from the first post i made in this thread is that ali was not the first mobile pure boxer.

    boxers have always emulated the popular fighting styles of the day.

    essentualy to the untrained eye there has always been (by what ever method) mobile boxers who make the opponent miss then counter. To the untrained eye there have always been aggresive styled fighters, but with both main groups there has always been more than one way to skin a cat.
