12 year old, Tatsuya Ikemizu, trained by Footit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-2KjzNbo7Q&feature=channel_page Can someone actually be taught how to move this smoothly and efficiently or is it just innate talent?
I can't understand how people can't see that this kid is really good. And they're not even sparring; just defensive practice. That why there's mostly straight punches.
This kid is really good for his age, however Id ask his coach whether he should be learning this style of boxing before he knows how tall hes going to be fully grown. That style wont work with anyone.
Answered your own question. They're basically doing partnered shadow boxing correct? As in not hitting eachother???...
Iv got footage of that kid in my collection from over 4 years ago. He's been well known for some time. Its of him doing some padwork. That video is actually quite old as the one i have he was 11 at the time. I hope he's stuck with boxing because the footage i have was insane. The kids speed and punch variation was better than some pro boxers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49z07SC565E&feature=fvw This kid KNOWS what he's doing. He has great balance, technique, speed, power, rhythm, footwork, head movement, and reflexes. He knows how to deal with southpaws, pivot efficiently, and transfer weight. On top of that, his liver blow is formidable. You don't see kids as decisive and explosive. The only kids I've seen come close to this is the kids from Sugar Ray Leonard's Gym.
