its just fighters seeing openings and adjusting punch trajectory to connect. no great mystery or science.

Which fighters other than the fighters on the vid did this though, these guys have been drilled at this they didn`t just happen upon it mid fight, I`ve seen a lot of champs that couldn`t open fighters up very well at all.

those are targets of opportunity, as long as they keep presenting themselves, you keep taking them. different fighters will give you different openings at different times depending on how he moves, and how you move in response. an experienced and well schooled fighter should already feel comfortable throwing all punches from different angles, so he knows the appropriate punch to throw when the opening presents itself.
give me an example in that video of what you think the fighter learned from drills of punching at odd angles.

You may need to go to a boxing gym bro lol. You can also read books on boxing techniques. Once you do that you'll appreciate old fighters a lot more as well. A lot of the things you're impressed by from modern fighters aren't as impressive as you think they are. It's just...normal boxing ****.

thats a difference i see that not too many people notice. the great old school fighters were well rounded in all the skills, then tailored that knowledge to fit their individual style. today you see more top fighters who are very good at a couple of things and can only be effective within that wheelhouse. take away their money punch, or their legs, or their size, and theyre practically useless against the well rounded fighter.
thats why ive been high on spence for a while, he is really well rounded, plus hes a physical freak.

Exactly. Another thing I've noticed is that the more modern fighters generally focus more on athletic ability than technical prowess. This appears to be especially true for the Americans. I think that's why what you're describing happens. It is incredibly difficult to be well rounded AND a physical specimen so there's going to be a tradeoff somewhere.

You can see the punches landing from odd angles, I see countless title fights with boxers missing or standing waiting for openings, Eubank Sr was notorius for this and his son is equally inaccurate with his punches, he just kept waiting and waiting for Groves.

Look at their arms as they land, their arms are in a different sort of position to conventional punches, they are standing in odd positions.

Angles are something you learn once you get past the novice level of just throwing combination you learned. These are basic fundamentals that turn into an art form when taken to a high level.

I'd have to agree with bandeedo, when your in a match you throw shots and after the bout your like wow why did I throw that shot like that! Just adjusting punches on the fly your body adjusts to hit the target. I've had guys dip way over to thier left before in a bout and next thing i knew I was throwing an outside upper cut at the end of my right hand to hit the shot. Instead of turning my hand over for the right hand, i turned it under into an uppercut. A shot ive never threw before.
