There's no excuse for what happened in Texas last night. None. I've never seen a professional sport event supervised that dubiously, it was ridiculous. I mean, mistakes do happen occasionally in sports that are entirely up to the ref's opinion like soccer and so forth but it's way worse in boxing.
Just imagine if Lampard's falsely disallowed goal against Germany 2010 happaned virtually every weekend in the Premier League. People would be on the fence in no time.

Or just think about Abner Mares lowblowing Agbeko all ****ing night! How can a professional ref be that incompetent?

Maybe he's just deaf. The bell rung; he shouldn't have been so intolerant towards a cornerman who just reacted to the bell, in & out with a stool, especially since a supervisor from the commission was in Molina's corner being perfectly fine with it. GBP staff are the ones who cried wolf when the ref came over to chat.

We were robbed of a great ending.

Edit: about 20% of all NHL refs are models of inconsistency

Oh no. NFL has their share of officials who make up their own rules on the spot. Just ask any Raider fan :hi:
