Decent year in boxing, just like every other. Some fights that are supposed to be great aren't. Some fights that aren't supposed to be great are. That's the sport. It'll never change.
I guess he's talking about SUPER FIGHTS. Pacquiao-Mosley was supposed to be a great fight, turned out to be embarrassing. Wlad-Haye was supposed to be a great fight, turned out to be very tactical. Mayweather-Ortiz was a great fight until it ended short. Think about it from a casual fan perspective. Nobody saw John-Yordan except hardcore fans. They see these big fights and think, "This is boring!" Because it's always lower than expectations. I don't think Wlad-Haye was a bad fight, it just wasn't as good as everyone expected it to be. From my perspective, it's been a great year! Tons of great fights! It's just that casual fans only see or hear about the big fights, and the big fights weren't all that great.
Also this, then. Wlad - Haye case in point: Saw it with some casuals, and I was the only one enjoying it..
