Thought I already replied to this my bad, but ya for the tournament the only fights that will go towards someones record will be ones in which they are 'active' for, (havent been eliminated yet). So over the course of time there will be a divergence between peoples total count. As for similar predictions, no worries on that your tournament pick doesnt have to match the league pick.
Anyone have any suggestions for fights that are competitive enough to eliminate competitors for round 2?
Good question. Also, I'd say that fights that arent supposed to be competitive can really eliminate competitors if the underdog wins. The reason I won the first tournament is because I picked the underdog in a supposedly foregone conclusion.
Looking at the sechudle the obvious answer is Plant Benavidez, but that's still almost 2 months away. Wish we could teleport back to 2000 when the top fighters would fight 3 times a year.
Wood Lara on February 18, Plant Benavidez March 25, then Garcia Davis April 15 (if this doesn’t happen you could do Joyce Zhang on the same date I guess if necessary), or just wait until April 29 for Stanionis Ortiz.
My suggestion, and I don't think this will overwhelm the players.... Leigh Wood vs. Mauricio Lara Mark Magsayo vs. Brandon Figueroa Tim Tszyu vs. Tony Harrison David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant Shakur Stevenson vs. Shuichiro Yoshino Joe Joyce vs. Zhilei Zhang Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Eimantas Stanionis
Do Tommy Fury Vs Jake Paul which will cut the field in half Then do Tyson Fury Vs Usyk which will cut it in half again. & only the Fury enjoyers will remain
OK then, I don't know these fighters but I'll just do my homework for this one... Due to popular demand, we can make Wood vs Lara as official round 2.
