Yeah, I think there could well be more to this than meets the eye. The fact they scrapped the entire card with indecent haste despite having 2 ready made substitute opponents is a little suspicious IMHO.

 

I heard that Holy was in town for the fight, and offered to step in.

Surely they could have come up with something better than cancelling the entire card?

It's ****ing ridiculous.

 

It seems unlikely he's just picked this up in training camp.

Well apparently a show is on still, but the main fights are cancelled (chagaev, meehan and brewster).

I don't expect setanta to broadcast the remaining fights then, because there is very little appeal to the fights that are on.

 

They're showing PGA golf instead

 

is there anyone who knows the financial situation of the promoters,or ticket sale numbers?.sounds like a money loss thing to me,damage limitation?.why would they scrap the whole card unless this was the case?:huh

 

no boxing tonight nothing, wish they just did a special addition of the boxing hour or something, we haven't had a fight for ages although berto/urango is tonight, who's staying up?

I'm going out for a few but will try to watch Berto when I back, or go to a mates house.
