Sorry to end this weekend in a sad note, but I thought I just mention a few more tragedies that boxing has had to suffer in the past few years. Fortunately, most of them have really nothing to do with the sport of boxing at least not directly.

    - Jorge Barrios while speeding accidentally kills a pregnant woman, and reports the incident late.
    - Vernon Forrest shot to death by a group of young people who robbed him near a gas station
    - Arturo Gatti is mysteriously killed in Brazil with his wife as a possible suspect
    - Alexis Arguello dies mysteriously after being a mayor of the capital city of Managua, Nicaragua for less than 1 year
    - Diego Corrales whose blood alcohol level was high runs through a red light at an intersection with his motorcycle
    - Agapito Sanchez shot to death by an off-duty police officer in the Dominican Republic
    - Daniel Aguillon dies from a coma after a knockout

There was also this one Central American or Caribbean boxer that died about 5 years ago. He was weight drained, lost the fight that he was suppose to win and was winning by the way, but in the later rounds his stamina and mental aptitude suddenly and quickly disappeared. He would die later that night or the next day (I forget), and the weight drain issue was blamed. He died by a stroke I think or something...I forget, and I can't seem to find his story in the internet.

Just goes to show that some fighters are willing to kill themselves for our entertainment!
