Some people's reactions to his videos often make me wonder if their aware of the situation, Rico. This thread is a case in point. Why would HBO even think about hiring a kid with too much time on his hands, when they film the footage themselves, and have many professionally trained editors at hand? I'm sounding cynical, but I would like to clarify, I have great respect for Gorilla Productions. He makes great Youtube videos. The Gatti one is brilliant, and his genius is shown in his choice of music. Any old editor wouldn't have thought twice about using the Goo Goo Dolls but it works. I'll stop being so negative, but the idea of HBO hiring a kid behind his computer is ridiculous too me.
Goo Goo Dolls. That's probably one of his least impressive videos, and he'll admit himself probably. Yes I agree with you, the likes of HBO have a dedicated team of professional editors who have more skill and experience than we can understand. Hiring someone like GP would do little to add to what they already have. But I guess what I (and other people on here) are saying, is that GP is exceptional for what he is. A random fan, with no experience of editing, no training of editing, a poxy piece of software, and a limited amount of resources to put his stuff together. Now for a guy who lacks all these attributes, you can't help but at least admire some of the stuff he's managed to produce. And looking at some of your previous posts (as well as a couple of others here), you don't seem to acknowledge or give his work the very least props he deserves.
He gets a "very well done". What would you like me to do, Rico? Until he starts mixing together Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales to The Evpatoria Report, my feet will be firmly on the ground.
That's cool Addie. Maybe I've mistaken you with another poster, one that always seems to moan whenever a GP vid is posted on here. In which case, sorry mate.
