...but I thought it pertinent to point out that gaining and maintaining weight as opposed to losing weight has different effects on the body, so how he can claim his analogy of Mundine having to use weights etc in his 'battle to keep that weight on!' in his NRL days is anything like Green having to boil himself down to make 168lbs is beyond me :yep

 

I doubt if he'll roll the dice again IBM - enough humiliation is probably enough - I'll settle for a 2 to zip scoreline.

One thing this clown Biajoli should look into though is advertising on the bottom of his shoes - he gets knocked off them often enough!

mate you shouldn't comment on things when you only know half the story. with that you probably only know 1/4 of danny's charity work. the part that danny's tells you, not the other half of his story that he doesn't tell you and absolutley none of miundines story when it comes to charity. as has been said keep to talking boxing you have a great deal of good things to say there

 

I didnt want to post on this thread but felt i needed to point out a few things as this isnt a one sided argument fellas..

some will agree he was weight drained some will disagree, what is certian is that Green campained most of his career at Super Middleweight 76KG, check boxrec if you dont belive me. He has had more fights at Super Middleweight than at any other weight limit in his career.

He fought Beyer at Super Middleweight, did awsome in the first fight but got schooled in the second fight, weight can not be atribuited to that now can it? Danny also defeated Eric Lucas at Super Middleweight prior to Mundine.

Out of Dannys 34 fights, 19 have been at Super Middleweight 76KG. 18 of those before he fought Mundine, he didnt really move up in weight until after he lost to Mundine. He had fought 4 fights prior to Mundine at around 78KG

Clearly you hate Danny Green - we all know that - but can you just elaborate on the point you are trying to make above please.

 

TC, Green had 15 fights where he weighed in at or under the SMW limit of 168lbs during the period where he campaigned at SMW (from his pro debut to his fight vs Mundine - a total of 24 fights).

During that same period, he weighed in over the SMW limit of 168lbs for 9 fights.

Interestingly, his lowest ever weight was when he rematched Beyer (166lbs) and IMO he looked very pale and gaunt in that fight.

He may have been campaigning at SMW for those 24 fights, but it seems he took every opportunity possible to weigh in over the SMW limit and really only made weight when he had to e.g. for title fights.

In the 10 fights since losing to Mundine he's fought at or above LHW.

19 fights out of 34 fights above SMW = the majority of his career.

Take a look at his weights after he boiled himself vs Sullivan:

173.75 vs Gonzalez
166 vs Beyer 2
171 vs Crawford
171.75 vs Garcia
167.75 vs Mundine

At or above LHW thereafter.

It would be fair to say he was still physically recovering from the dehydration he suffered when he fought Sullivan when he fought Gonzalez only 6 months later and suffered his first and only knockdown.

Then he dropped down to a career low weight of 166 to rematch Beyer 6 months after that, before going back up to 171 for 2 fights after that.

It was 2 years between fights against Beyer - he did well in the first one at 167.5lbs but looked terrible in the rematch at 166lbs.

Why would that be, and why would he come in 1.5lbs lighter than he weighed in their first encounter for the rematch?

I dislike Danny as much as a dislike Mundine, what i wont do is say one is better than the other or make up excuses for one of them, they are both the same and as bad as each other at rorting the Australian public.

One man claims he can defeat Cotto, Pacman and Mayweather on the same night but he fights bums and cant be taken seriouse, whilst the other man claims to be one of the best Crusierweights the world has ever seen, only problem is he has NEVER been in with any of the top cruiserweights in order to stake his claim, he is only able to obtain the lowly IBO title with help from his Australian IBO officals and the fact that the IBO has no mandatory which allows Danny a monoploy on the title and in essence a licence to print Money.

What point are you trying to make that i have failed to see ? Danny was weight drained? Perhaps he was but if thats the case its his own fault for not preparing correctly as he had done in his previouse 18 fights at Super Middleweight.

wouldnt of beat Mundine that night.his hand and footspeed were too much for Danny.
