He was 86kgs when he retired from league. If he EVER played first grade at 73 kgs it would have been at 18. But i doubt it. Your initial comment implied when he left league he was 73 kgs and should have started his boxing at junior middle weight. This is nonsense. And watch your tone with me boy.

i said he played never said he left, but HE NEVER GOT NEAR 86KG, you are totally dreaming, i was running around back then at 86kg and i was alot bigger than choc, your talkin utter **** and i know for a fact he never got near that, besides what is your point? the training you do to increase muscle size/power/mass in league is totally different to boxing.
My original point was just clarifying that the "weight" excuse for green is utter ****

and couldabeen, you still haven't named any sources? Your like a little gossiping ***** exactly like i said, go write a column for new idea with all your "contacts"

I agree mundine has gone backwards,, and he is still 2 legs ahead of green !

Oz, if you get to have a beer with him, I'd love to see a pic of how he looks now. Cheers. I've not seen a more recent picture than 1971-2.

Of course he is. That's why he's fighting Garth Woods, while Danny is defending a World Title.

I can't see why all the debate about Green v mundine 2 is still raging here , who wants to really see this fight what with Danny being THE Cruiserweightt champion of the world and Choc about to fight in the states v Pac or lil Floyd ?

Well at least one media nut hugger disagrees with you:

    http://www.smh.com.au/sport/boxing/...ng-one-of-the-heavyweights-20100629-zj9r.html

But you were 86kgs and MUCH bigger than him so all the other articles must be wrong too.

PS. There's a heap of bull**** in the paragraph i quoted but it's not to do with weight.

and yeah back then i was running around at 5/8 in regies.

But again, my point the effort taken to keep a body that large for someone like choc is totally different then boxing training.

Just another dose of your usual confused inaccuracies.

Stating Mundine played NRL any time towards the end of his career, and close to the start of his boxing career, at 73kg, is just plain incorrect.

Now you're after sources for an article that appeared in a national boxing magazine? - perhaps you should read a bit more and talk a bit less my friend.

If you know anything at all you'd know who Ray Wheatley usually goes to for opinions on the hypothetical fights they run. They are respected ex boxers, current day trainers etc.

....and though you are critical of those informed views that predicted a landslide Green win, it's notable you haven't been able to suggest where better informed opinions might be found...
