    Hi,

I am really prone to injuries, and after a week of intense training, my knees hurt a little bit. I am really a not flexible person and don't always take time to stretch. I just feel I would be less prone to injuries If I were more flexible. Anybody got good links for stretching exercices?

This is what I found on boxing; great link but short:

    Foam Rolling is so overlooked.

You always always always have to take time to stretch. Stretch every part of your body, from the shoulders, arms, neck, abs, and legs.

Not only does it keep you out of the danger zone for injuries, but it also lets you exert yourself more and lets you push yourself to a more intense workout.

Give yourself a good 20 minute warm up/ stretch routine and you will feel a difference in how hard you work as apposed to hardly stretching or not stretching at all.

There's actually very little evidence that stretching prevents injuries. Stretching shouldn't be done just before exercise either.

Stretching should be done seprrate, from everything else. Three sessions a week should sufice. It does provent injurys occuring, and helps with recovery. It helps the nueromuscular system to adapt and understand repairing itself. Tiny tares happen while stretching letting nuerons learn to adapt at what they do best organise. Its the most neglected part of sport there is, through ignorance. Fortunatly a lot of Big Sports People are starting to realise the potential.

This is correct. Stretching also helps overall coordination. As mentioned above it also helps to have (a) separate stretching session(s) throughout the week rather than the maximum 30 second stretches you will get during a warm-up. Its also important to warm-up lightly before stretching as cold stretching can cause injuries. Jumping rope is good for this.

"Stretching" can also be mobility, flexibility and self massage (tennis ball, foam roller), so I am all in favour of this and I do not do enough.

Stretching also repairs the damage the eyes do, which is the most important thing :yep.
