Zale-Hostak.

In the 1st fight, Zale recovered from an early KD & near-stoppage to outhustle Hostak down the stretch for a huge upset win.

In the 2nd, Zale gradually wore down Hostak & stopped him late.

In the brief but explosive 3rd fight, both fighters traded KDs before Zale bombed out Hostak in the 2nd rnd.

The 2nd fight was a good, competitive scrap, which is how Maxim earned the 3rd fight. The 1st & 3rd fights were 1-sided beatings though.

Barney Ross beat Ceferino Garcia 3x. Ross reportedly rallied from a pair of 1st round KDs to win the 1st fight, & the 3rd was a grueling 15 rnd battle.

 

Sam Angott won 3 out of 3 battles w/ Bob Montgomery.

SRR won a 3-fight series w/ Angott.
