BOXING VS. MMA, Maybe a Fight of the Decade?

It needs to be moved to the bin. Tired of seeing these bull**** threads in here just because MMA is in the title.

 

Because you made the mistake of referring to MMA in a positive light. If you had bashed MMA then they would have enjoyed your thread.

Is it totally inappropriate to discuss boxing and MMA together, and thus do it in the boxing forum? I don't think so, but the boxing only fans get so uppity when the words "MMA" are uttered, they can't even engage in a conversation where MMA and boxing are discussed together, unless it involves bashing MMA. The extent of their debate is usual "**** MMA." Real intelligent.:roll:

 

I know you REALLY REALLY hate MMA cdn, but there really is only one champion in each weight class.

These are near universally recognized by the MMA community as the champions of their respective weight classes and, I would wager, less than 1% of the community would make a serious argument that they are not the champions of their weight class.

Secondly, Machida/Silva not happening probably has very little to do with Dana White. GSP/Silva not happening would probably have very little to do with Dana White. Dana White is WORKING on Fedor/Lesnar right now. Aoki HATES the United States for some reason (okay, I exagerate). And GSP/Shields isn't exactly the most wanted fight in MMA.

Lidell/Silva was a classic. Mir/Lesnar turned out to be a good couple of fights. Who else should Nog fight? Who else should Couture fight? They are both old, they are both legends, they both still want to fight? I think it's a decent matchup.
