As I told that ****** Pimp C in the MMA forum, this fight was meaningless. Nobody cared about it except for those who had a personal interest in the two athletes involved. Everybody else ignored it. Why? Because it meant nothing. Sylvia came into the fight fat, out of shape and obviously only there for the pay day. Mercer, only slightly gave more of a crap and was lucky that Sylvia thinks he's a world class striker. If Sylvia had taken a simple leg takedown off the bat, Mercer would've been tapping in under a minute.

Instead, he decided to give a has been who still has something of a punch his one chance in hell of getting lucky - to Mercer's credit, he took it and made it work. But it meant nothing.

That's because they know like the rest of us that the ultimate test of manhood is going toe to toe with fists and not rolling around on the ground with another man trying to get a guy to tap out.

Thanks pimp. In all honesty, the fight clubs these guys go to are very expensive and the money they make for fighting is next to nothing. They do train very hard, and for me to want to get back in the gym again like I did during my teen years, just dont sound appealing enough for me at this stage in my life. I'm no Zelenoff, I could only dream of having 700 pounds of force in my hook.:yep

Mayweather has 50x the skill of any current MMAer.

You just can't fight with your fists and would rather have something that resembles gay sex and call it fighting.

    Hey, whatever works for you.

Maybe you can get with those two homosexuals from ESB that just got posted in the lounge.

The bit I don't like about MMA is when they climb on top of each other and rub their groins/balls on their opponents face and give each other 69s and all that.

Unfortunately that seems to make up about 98% of the "sport", so it's not really for me.

Yeah, and boxers like Andrew Golota are constantly touching other boxers penises in fights. Happens all the time.

Especially in the Asian community, we ****in laugh at the UFC guys because they label themselves as " Mixed MARTIAL ARTISTS " LMFAO.. MARTIAL ****in ARTISTS???? lol

What kinda martial artists can't even throw a proper kick and a punch.. Alot of the times i see these guys throwing some girly half assed kicks and punches.. it's laughable..

In order to be a UFC fighter, here are the requirments..

    - Being white would have its advantages

    - Shave your head

    - Listen to some rock music

    - Gotta love men

    - Get some mean looking tatoos

There ya go.. We have a UFC fighter

It meant plenty that's what you don't get. If a guy like Mercer who is 50 years old can beat a former UFC HW champ that easily it means something alright. It means that these guys are overrated and unskilled. Can you imagine if the opposite happened. If Silva came to boxing and beat a former HW champ that easily. Boxing would never live it down.

  13. Thats what gets my goat, All the fan boys try to tell me how skillfull it is and they are all Mixed Martial Artists !!! **** off..... It is an insult to the history and tradition of these arts Karate, Thai-Boxing, Ju-Jitsu etc..... to have some redneck average college wrestler call himself a martial arts expert, because he has trained for a few years in one of these arts

So, it means a lot, when two washed up pros of different sports show up fat and out of shape and someone throws a lucky punch?

    Gotcha.

I guess that proves that Trevor Berbick was a greater heavyweight than Muhammad Ali. Circumstances be damned, it meant plenty.
