after pondering it a bit, trying to box an ex professional boxer with MMA gloves..that's a recipe for suicide.
Are you telling me if someone sweeped your legs on the street, sat on you & started punching **** out of you, you would rather scream `this isnt real mans fighting, get off me` as opposed to doing everything in your power to reverse the situation & stomp on his head ?
Hmmm wonder why all the failed boxers don't just become ufc champions if its so easy. Boxing is a small element of mma and of course a pure boxer would out strike an mma fighter, but how does he go about defending a hell hook or a armbar? thy don't... it takes years to gain an existant ground game. Some of you actually don't know what your talking about, its kind of sad/funny.
You see, it's easy to critizcise boxing when you can't box yourself and don't really understand styles, which is reasonable considering the majority of fighters today do not know how to box... But when it comes down to it, rollin around with another dude, balls in his face, is very suspect... And it's not the sort of behavior that a heterosexual man would voluntarily participate in unless he had some tendencies that led him to this type of behavior... But hey.....it's 2009.
Probably because to get there they're beating the **** out of people who are experts in those disciplines?
