    19th of April 1920

American Jimmy Clabby defeated Aust H/W Champ, Albert Lloyd via TKO 10. (Non-title fight)

Clabby, at the tail end of a fantastic Aussie career, was well at home Down Under having fought the nations best in two trips as a fighter in Oz. Not one to mince his words, his praise of Les Darcy was immense- stating clearly his belief that Darcy would have little trouble dispensing of Stanley Ketchel should they have met.

Jimmy Clabby will be inducted in to the ANBHoF this coming October.. AT THE MCG!!!!

., 36, released from Bayside State Prison after serving 16-years for aggravated sexual assault.

Ayala returned to the ring for a further 11 bouts following his release, and retired in 2003 having put together 31 wins (27 by KO) and 2 losses (KO 2).

Certainly a colourful character, our ‘friend’ Tony. On one occasion he spat on his opponent after knocking him to the ground. He also admitted to using heroin before three of his fights!

    From Wikipedia:
In 2004 Ayala was sentenced to ten years in prison when found speeding, without a driving license and with heroin and pornography in his possession.
